Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu recently toured Srikakulam for an event. During his tour, Naidu interacted with several villagers on his way, personally surveying them about government’s performance and functioning in their villages.
At one particular place, Naidu stopped for a break at a lady shopkeeper’s store to have a small refreshment drink of Gluco plus where he tendered a note of Rs. 500 for an amount of Rs. 10 for lack of change. When Naidu got to know that the shopkeeper also did not have sufficient change to return it to him, he asked her to keep the change and then proceeded further with his tour.
In another interaction with an old woman, Naidu asked her if she was receiving her pension on time, to which she replied that she was receiving her pension on time. She further also requested Naidu to grant for her a new house as part of government’s welfare schemes for the aged, to which Naidu said that he would definitely sanction for her a new house.
Naidu also came across a family of a bed ridden aged person who had recently undergone a surgery. When CM Naidu got to know that the family was unable to build a house for themselves for lack of sufficient funds, he immediately sanctioned an amount of Rs. 5 Lakh for the family by signing a cheque!
So this is how CM Chandrababu Naidu seems taken up an interesting way of personally surveying villages & towns, like what was witnessed during his recent tour of Srikakulam.
