Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is currently on a visit to the U.S and yesterday, he stirred a major controversy with his comments on dynastic politics. Rahul Gandhi was interacting at the University of California, where he ended up triggering yet another major controversy with his comments.
Rahul Gandhi was speaking on dynastic politics when he said that he was not the only dynast in India and people should stop targeting him over it. Rahul Gandhi went on to add that there were also other dynasts in India citing examples like Akhilesh Yadav of SP and Stalin of the DMK.
He also said that besides people like Akhilesh & Stalin, people like Mukesh Ambani and Abhishek Bachchan also were dynasts because they are making a career only on the strength of their fathers’ fame & success.
Rahul Gandhi did not stop there, he went on to say that dynastic practices are quite prevalent in India and that is how India runs even today. He urged people to stop targeting him over being a dynast saying that there were also a large number of other politicians in India who are dynasts.
Rahul Gandhi’s remarks reflect on a bitter truth of Indian society and is likely to leave the people of India being angry with him for making such comments outside of the country.
