Dhawan strikes six centuries of Afghan spinners, a torrid storm century before lunch

India’s Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay have given India a spectacular start. The partnership between the two has been 158 runs for the first wicket. Shikhar Dhawan has already scored a century before lunch. This is his seventh century in Test cricket. Apart from this, he is the first Indian batsman to score a century in an opener before lunch.
Dhawan’s half century
Team India’s Gabbar Yi Shikhar Dhawan completed his half-century in the 14th over. This is his sixth half-century in Test cricket. He came in to bowl in this over and hit Rashid Khan’s fifth ball to complete his half-century. In this over, Rashid Khan scored 13 runs, out of which 12 runs were scored by Shikhar Dhawan.
Team India won toss
Team India has decided to bat after winning the toss and given the Afghanistan team first bowling. There has been interesting changes in Team India’s playing XI. The opening combination of Shikhar Dhawan and Murali Vijay has been retained. Lokesh Rahul has been given a chance in the middle order, while wicketkeeping is on the shoulders of Dinesh Karthik. Karun Nair has not got a place in the team. Dinesh Karthik, who returned to the Test after eight years, has also been included in the team.
Afghanistan becomes the 12th country to debut Test
This is only another test match on the field, but its significance is even greater. Afghanistan became the 12th country to be debuted in Test cricket with this and players like Rashid Khan, Mujib Jadran and Mohammad Shahzad will not be able to make the best effort on their behalf in this historic match.
