Rain Gave Hope To The Farmers

Farmers commenced agriculture activities with a sense of hope. Unlike in the past, they are not tensed about investment for buying inputs of agriculture as they are given financial assistance through Rythu Bandhu scheme. They are also happy with the district witnessing showers in the past few days.

 

The agrarian community started readying their fields for sowing crops such as paddy, cotton, soya, maize, with Meteorological Department predicting favourable climatic conditions for this season. They are removing weed grown in the fields. To their delight, several parts of erstwhile Adilabad are registering showers following the onset of southwest monsoon, from June 8.Area of cultivation in erstwhile Adilabad: 15.50 lakh hectares

Adilabad: 2.05 lakh hectares

Mancherial: 1.52 lakh hectares

Nirmal: 1.82 lakh hectares

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: 1.31 lakh hectares

 

Farmers: 4.98 lakh

Adilabad: 1.16 lakh

Mancherial: 1.30 lakh

Nirmal: 1.58 lakh

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: 0.91 lakh

 

Requirement of subsidised seeds: 1.29 lakh quintals

Subsidised fertilizers: 3.72 lakh tonnes

DAP: 1.80 lakh tonnes

Urea: 1.20 lakh

Complex: 60,000 metric tonnes

MOP: 20,000 metric tonnes

 

Crop credit plan outlay: Rs 5,207 crore

Crop investment support through Rythu Bandhu: Rs 595 crore

Agriculture clusters: 305
