The Run machine or King Kohli, Indian skipper Virat Kohli is one of the best batsmen in the game of cricket at present. Since winning the U-19 World Cup in 2008, Kohli has come a long way. He has achieved so much that there is no need to mention it, and he is enjoying the best time of his career. He transformed himself from an aggressive player to a mature batsman. The skipper is leading his team from the front in every format of the game.

Virat last year tied the knot with Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in a well-kept secret function in Italy in presence of family and friends. It is very hard to find Kohli’s family as none has ever come across them at event. They have kept themselves away from the media eye. Kohli is often seen thanking his family, father and mother, for making what he is today. His family, especially his father, Prem Kohli has played an important part in shaping Virat’s career. Virat’s family, he started playing cricket while he was 3-years-old. Virat would pick-up a cricket bat and asks his father to bowl at him. At 9, Kohli’s father took him to an academy after a neighbour suggested that ‘Virat shouldn’t waste his time in gully cricket, instead join a professional club’. Thinking about the same, his father took him to Rajkumar Sharma sir, his first coach, who once said that it was very hard for him to send Virat home after day’s training as he wouldn’t leave. Dealing with big loss

Virat’s passion for cricket which was fully appreciated by his father and family. However, in 2006, when Virat was playing in Ranji for his home state lost his father due to a brain stroke he suffered because of being bed-ridden for almost a month. Virat’s father was his biggest support. His father also used to drive him to the practice session every day. Virat has inked his parents’ name, mother Saroj and father Prem, on his arms, to commemorate the bond that he shares with them. Virat is also said to be very close to his sister Bhavna.. It is Virat Kohli, the family man, whom his fans and audience rarely get to see. In his busy national-international schedule, Virat makes sure to keep some time for his family because, as they say, nothing is more precious than family.
