IND beat AUS by 31 Runs to win Adelaide Test

India beat Australia by 31 runs to win the thrilling opening Test here on Monday. Defending the target of 323 runs, India restricted Australia for 291 runs on the fifth day to win the match and take 1-0 lead in the four-match series. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Ravichandran Ashwin bagged three wickets each in the second innings for India, while Ishant Sharma picked one wicket. On the other hand, Shaun Marsh (60) was the highest scorer for Australia. Ninth wicket down for Australia as Bumrah removes Cummins. India just a wicket away from win. AUS 259/9, Shami removes Starc to provide much needed breakthrough to India. The visitors are now just two wickets away from the win. AUS 228-8, Bumrah picks his second wicket of the innings as he sent back Tim Paine just after lunch. India are now three wickets away from the victory.
