India skipper Virat Kohli rolled his arms over in the tour game against Cricket Australia XI and also picked up the wicket of centurion Harry Nielsen (100) and gave a priceless reaction where he too was shocked to have got a wicket. It was a rare moment to see Kohli bowl, and that is what confused wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant who asked the captain what was he going to bowl. Pant asked Kohli if he was going to bowl pace or spin. Once Kohli confirmed what he as going to do, Pant decided to stay up to the stumps. Kohli got the ball to swing but looked a little rusty which is quite obvious as he is not a regular bowler.

Indian bowlers struggled to bundle out the opposition as it took them 151.1 overs in order to get the 10 wickets of the hosts. Bumrah, who had not stepped on the field till then had to come out and bowl seven deliveries to scalp the final wicket which he did with a yorker.
It would be interesting to see the bowlers who get picked for the first Test at Adelaide starting December 6. Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah look to be automatic selections, then there could be a toss-up between Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav for the third spot.
India’s fortunes will depend a lot on Kohli when the tourists lock horns with hosts Australia for a four-match Test series. Kohli is currently the No 1 batsman in Tests and ODIs and India will hope he gets among the runs.
