TRS party is rife that six-time MLA T. Harish Rao mat contest the Lok Sabha elections from Medak. Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao recently announced that he will be playing a key role in national politics with the Federal Front and Mr. Harish Rao who in 2014 was inducted into the Cabinet as minister for irrigation, marketing, and legislative affairs, will most likely be assisting KCR at the Centre.
According to political analysts, TRS leaders are of the opinion that KCR’s idea of launching Harish Rao into national politics would also avoid any unnecessary rift with the party in the future, in the event of KTR assuming power in the state.
In his recent interaction with reporters, KCR has said that the BJP-led NDA would not get more than 150 seats in the parliamentary elections this year, and the Congress-led UPA might secure around 100 seats. Given these scenarios, regional parties would play a crucial role in the formation of the government at the Centre, and this would allow KCR’s Federal Front to play a key role. According to political talk, if KCR holds a key post at the Centre, there is every chance of T Harish Rao also getting an important portfolio at the Centre.
